Video 1

First presented on Monday 8th November, the Strategic Tax & Financial planning session covers a broad range of topics relevant to both UK citizens and Non-UK.

After an initial introduction to Blevins Franks, Tom shares a wealth of information covering:

For UK citizens:

  • Brexit & French Residency
  • Recent French & UK budgets
  • UK pension planning

For non-UK citizens:

  • Investment Planning
  • Taxation of property in France

The 56 minute video ends with a short Q&A session.

Thomas has provided advice nationally within the UK, and worked with private clients in Switzerland before relocating permanently to France. He holds a Degree in Law from the University of Bristol as well as the Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute. Thomas is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.

Next, Paulette Booth & Helen Harrop from AXA international take us through Insurance Needs in France in this 48 minute presentation covering:

Paulette has over 30 years experience in the banking and insurance industry. Prior to moving to France, she worked in the UK with Barclays Bank and Legal & General, specialising as a mortgage and insurance advisor.
Since 2012 Paulette has been a key player in the development of Agence AXA International offering a dedicated English speaking service by a bilingual team of native English speakers.

And last but certainly not least, Isaac Barchichat, an international accountant with 15 years experience in large accounting firms helps us decipher French Tax Obligations and moves on to discuss Considerations for US tax Payers in this hour-long presentation.

Presented live on Tuesday 9th November, Isaac covers six of the most important financial subjects to know about when moving to France:

Issac graduated in the United States and in France. He is an International Financial and Accounting Expert with a focus on US GAAP, French GAAP and IFRS as well as dipping his toe into politics as the deputy mayor of Saint-Brice-sous-Foret (95), a town on the outskirts of Paris.
